Lead Stylist Shaun SureThing works magic out of his four-chair boutique hair salon in the West Village. Offering cut, color, highlights, and hair styling services Shaun has curated a friendly luxury setting in his salon which open evenings and Sundays to accommodate New York's best and busiest. Shaun has helped shape the NYC fashion landscape for the better part of 18 years. Working with the best style editors and fashion writers, set designers and photographers, artists and curators, Shaun has played a crucial role as hair informant to some of the biggest names in the NYC creative industries. But whether in his West Village hair salon, on photoshoots or backstage or on the runway, Surething always finds the creative process and experience of working with people to be more fulfilling than the commercial product. In this spirit, he thrives in the salons environment where he can fully express his vision and talent one-on-one. Opening Seagull Salon in the West Village of NYC with Le Tigre's Johanna Fateman in 2006 allowed Shaun to exercise and develop the full spectrum of his hair cut and color skills. Working with performance and visual artists, gallerists, musicians, rock critics, and fashion icons, Shaun Surething has established his place in NYC as a cultural curator and continues to grease the gears behind the scenes of downtown art, music and fashion.
